Tony Brown
Head Club Coach
Tony has been the coach at the club for several years and is a well-liked and respected member of the team. He has been involved in tennis as a player and coach for over 20 years. He is a fully accredited LTA Level 3 Tennis Coach, working as part of the MDL Coaching team in the Croydon area. As well as running our adult coaching sessions on a Thursday night in the summer, Tony also organises and supervises our junior coaching programme on Saturday mornings.
"Tennis is my passion and I care deeply about the game and helping others to improve. My coaching philosophy is based on ensuring the players have fun and enjoy my lessons. I deliver lessons for both large and small groups of all ages. I also specialise in one to one coaching for players of all ages and abilities."

Matt Womack
Club Coach
Matt is an LTA Level 2 coach and is close to completing his Level 3 qualification. He recently completed his
BSc Hons Degree in Sport Science Coaching & PE.
We are delighted that he is starting his coaching career with us, especially as he joined as a Junior with us in 2014 so he is well known at the club. We have enjoyed watching his great tennis over the years.
Our head coach Tony soon spotted his potential and encouraged him to assist with the Juniors and has guided his progression to a career in tennis.
Matt is now a regular coach on the Juniors sessions on a Saturday and has started doing individual sessions with Juniors. The children enjoy his sessions, he is always positive and puts a lot of care and thought into helping them improve their tennis.
He is ready now to do individual lessons for adults and is offering a reduced fee of £25.00 per hour as an introductory offer. So, if you want to improve your tennis overall or work on a particular shot, do contact Matt.
